Travelling to Tanjung Lesung, Pandeglang, Banten is now far more convenient. Travellers arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport may continue their journey to this tourist area using DAMRI bus services, with no requirement to switch transport modes mid-trip.

This new direct route is welcome news for visitors wishing to enjoy the beaches, natural scenery and full range of recreational activities at Tanjung Lesung. The service also operates for return journeys, providing tourists with a reliably planned transport option.

Tanjung Lesung Chief Executive Officer Poernomo Siswoprasetijo confirmed this new route forms a strategic initiative to strengthen cross-regional connectivity across Banten, while simultaneously simplifying Travel arrangements for tourists.

“Launching this direct route undoubtedly removes travel friction for visitors holidaying in Tanjung Lesung. After arriving via the DAMRI Soekarno Hatta Airport-Tanjung Lesung service, guests may simply board the return Tanjung Lesung-Soekarno Hatta Airport bus which picks up directly outside the Tanjung Lesung Beach & Hotel lobby at the end of their stay,” Poernomo stated.

This route commenced official operations on 3 October, Running scheduled services both from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Tanjung Lesung and the reverse direction.

For tourists planning a visit, reviewing departure schedules ahead of time allows full travel itinerary planning from the moment of airport arrival.

A one-way fare for either travel direction is set at IDR 175,000. Passengers returning from Tanjung Lesung to the airport may use the dedicated lobby pickup service at Tanjung Lesung Beach & Hotel.

Tickets may be purchased online via the DAMRI Apps mobile application or official DAMRI website. Prior to travel, passengers are advised to verify schedules and ticket availability, particularly when coordinating journeys with flight timetables.

Alongside this direct airport route, an additional Rangkasbitung-Soekarno-Hatta Airport bus service operates for IDR 50,000. Service stops include Tanjung Lesung Beach & Hotel, Labuan Terminal, Kadubanen Pandeglang Terminal and Mandala Rangkasbitung Terminal.

Tanjung Lesung Prepares Skydiving Tourist Attraction

Improved transport access is not the only initiative to boost Tanjung Lesung's appeal. Area management is also developing new visitor activities to expand the tourist experience on offer.

One upcoming attraction is recreational skydiving, delivered in partnership with Bro Skydive Indonesia. This activity is designed to offer an alternative recreation option for tourists seeking an experience beyond standard coastal beach holidays.

"We are on track to launch the skydiving attraction late this year," Poernomo confirmed.

If delivered as scheduled, skydiving will become a new adventure option for visitors to the Tanjung Lesung area.

Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Expected To Reduce Travel Times

Access to Tanjung Lesung is set to improve further with construction of the Serang–Panimbang Toll Road. Completion of Section 3A connecting Cileles and Bojong is targeted for November, while full completion of the entire toll corridor is projected for the second quarter of 2027.

Poernomo noted that the finished toll road will further simplify travel for tourists visiting destinations across Pandeglang.

Combined with the direct airport bus service, these infrastructure improvements are expected to make planning trips to Tanjung Lesung significantly more straightforward.

Actual on-road travel times will however remain dependent on live traffic conditions, service scheduling and ongoing construction progress.

For tourists planning a Holiday along Banten's coast, this DAMRI bus route provides a hassle-Free travel alternative that removes the need to arrange private transport from the airport.

With planned new visitor attractions and continued infrastructure investment, Tanjung Lesung continues to improve accessibility while creating fresh reasons for tourists to visit.
