Chelsea secured a crucial victory in the ongoing Premier League fixture, defeating Everton 2-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday 17 October WIB evening. Pedro Neto was the deciding factor with two goals, scored early in the second half and shortly before full time respectively.
This victory was defined by Neto's clinical finishing when presented with chances at two critical moments. Following a goalless first half, the Chelsea winger opened the scoring just seconds after the restart, before sealing the away side's win with his second goal in the 90th minute.

Both sides attempted to play on the front foot from kick-off. However, over the opening 15 minutes, neither Everton nor Chelsea were able to produce genuine dangerous opportunities that properly threatened the opposition goal.
Chelsea gradually took control of attacking initiative. Cole Palmer registered The Blues' first clear chance in the 16th minute. Further threats followed from Morgan Rogers, Pedro Neto, and Jordan Henderson.
Everton did not remain passive. The home side tried to mount a response through Thierno Barry and Jack Grealish, though none of their efforts produced a goal before the first half concluded.
While Chelsea held greater attacking momentum, poor final execution remained an issue for the visiting team. Both sides entered the half time break with the score locked at 0-0.
Pedro Neto Breaks The Deadlock
Chelsea did not take long to shift the match dynamic after the interval. Mere seconds after the second half commenced, Neto beat Everton Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to put The Blues 1-0 ahead.
Neto's goal completely changed the flow of the match. Chelsea grew in confidence building attacking moves, and pushed to double their advantage.
Palmer went close again with a long range strike in the 57th minute, though the effort finished just wide of goal. Chelsea continued to apply consistent pressure, while Everton searched for an opening to Draw level.
Emiliano Martinez Injury Temporarily Halts Play
Play was stopped for an extended period in the 66th minute after Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez collided with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. The Argentina National Team goalkeeper received on-pitch medical treatment before being ruled unable to continue the match.
Chelsea then introduced Mike Penders to replace Martinez between the posts. Play resumed once the medical break concluded.
While this disruption temporarily interrupted the game rhythm, Chelsea successfully retained their lead. Everton continued to struggle to find a route to score an equaliser.
Neto's Second Goal Seals Chelsea Victory
As the match neared its conclusion, Neto once again demonstrated his sharp finishing. In the 90th minute, he scored his second goal of the night to extend Chelsea's lead to 2-0.
This goal eliminated any realistic chance of an Everton comeback. Chelsea held their advantage until the referee blew the full time whistle, securing all three points from their away trip to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
This marks the first clean sheet victory for Xabi Alonso's squad in the English top flight this season.
