Portugal proved their sharp attacking quality even without Cristiano Ronaldo. Facing Denmark on the third matchday of UEFA Nations League Group A4 at Parken Stadium on Friday WIB, the Selecao secured a 4-2 victory while retaining their perfect unbeaten record.
This fixture was Portugal's first match after Ronaldo made a sudden, unannounced departure from the national team training camp on Thursday.
The Portuguese captain stated he will reveal the "truth" regarding his conflict with head coach Jorge Jesus at a timing he deems appropriate.

Ronaldo's absence did not reduce Portugal's attacking threat. Joao Cancelo, Goncalo Ramos, Vitinha and Joao Felix each scored one goal for the side.
Denmark actually started the match aggressively. Rasmus Hojlund received a clear cut chance from Adam Daghim's pass, but failed to make contact with the ball right in front of Portugal's goal line.
Portugal found their first opening in the 13th minute. Cancelo intercepted Daghim's counter attack build up play before linking up with Ramos.
The Portuguese full back then launched a lob shot from inside the penalty area. The ball sailed over Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, Putting Portugal ahead 1-0.
Rafael Leao, who wore Ronaldo's iconic number 7 shirt for this match, almost doubled the lead, before Hermansen blocked his attempt.
Denmark equalised in the 23rd minute. Mikkel Damsgaard scored a fine goal with a curling strike from the left side of the penalty box, bending perfectly into the far top corner of Portugal's goal.
Portugal reclaimed the lead very quickly. Just two minutes after Damsgaard's goal, Ramos finished off a neat attacking combination with Bruno Fernandes.
Ramos played a clever backheel pass to Fernandes before making a run behind the Danish defensive line. Fernandes returned the through ball, and Ramos converted it for Portugal's second goal.
Hermansen continued to deny Portugal from extending their lead, stopping close attempts from both Ramos and Fernandes before and after the half time break.
Denmark levelled the score once again eight minutes after the second half kicked off. Hojlund ran onto Damsgaard's through pass before chipping the ball over the onrushing Diogo Costa.
Hojlund then performed Ronaldo's famous 'siuuu' goal celebration. This moment became one of the most talked about moments of the match, occurring while the Portuguese captain was absent from the pitch.
Portugal responded by intensifying their pressure. After an acrobatic effort from Ramos drifted wide of the post, the Selecao finally scored their third goal in the 67th minute.
Vitinha met Bruno Fernandes' cross with a glancing header towards the near post. Hermansen could not reach the ball, putting Portugal back ahead 3-2.
Denmark continued trying to pull level, but Portugal maintained full control of the match as it entered the final closing minutes.
Portugal sealed the victory in the 87th minute via Joao Felix. Brought on from the substitutes bench, Felix finished a pass from fellow replacement Diogo Dalot to break Denmark's goal. The 4-2 scoreline remained until the full time whistle blew.
Portugal departed Parken Stadium with the victory and all three competition points.
