Indonesia National Team is at risk of being without Ole Romeny when facing Thailand in the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup Final at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, on the evening of Monday 5 October 2026.
Indonesia National Team Head Coach John Herdman has not yet been able to confirm the condition of the Fortuna Sittard striker. Ole drew attention after missing the full squad training session in the final preparations ahead of this title decider match.
Ole was confirmed to be carrying out separate individual training while the Garuda Squad held their group practice at the State Police College (STIK) Stadium, Jakarta on Sunday.

Herdman stated that the decision on Ole's eligibility to play against Thailand will still depend on the final evaluation results from the medical team.
"Ole is currently undergoing medical checks. We will re-assess his condition tomorrow. There is no guarantee he will be available for the match," Herdman explained regarding Ole's status during the pre-match press conference at SUGBK on Sunday.
The English coach confirmed that the final call on Ole's fitness will be fully determined by the medical team's professional assessment. Herdman also conveyed his appreciation for the work done by the medical staff that have been managing the physical condition of all Indonesia National Team Players.
"So once again, everything is in the hands of our medical team, who have done outstanding work to recover these players. We will just have to wait and see," he added.
Uncertainty over Ole's condition has become a key talking point as the 26 year old striker is coming off an impressive performance in the previous fixture.
Ole did not score during Indonesia's match against Bangladesh, but he played a critical role in the dominant 9-2 victory after recording four assists in that game.
Herdman even made a lighthearted joke when questioned about Ole's situation, referencing the striker's excellent prior performance as the reason for his separate training.
"When you put up four assists in one match, you earn special privileges: training by yourself. I think that's a pretty unique achievement," joked Herdman.
Since making his debut for Indonesia National Team in March last year, Ole has made 13 senior appearances. During this time, the Fortuna Sittard player has scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists for the national side.
If cleared fit, Ole's presence will provide a major boost for Indonesia going into the Thailand clash. However, if he is ruled unfit, Herdman will need to prepare alternative forward options for this decisive match that will crown the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup champion.
