The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 championship title has delivered a positive impact on the standing of Indonesia National Football Team within the FIFA Rankings. After defeating Thailand in the final, the Garuda Squad climbed one position to 117th place globally in the Latest FIFA Ranking release.
Citing official FIFA ranking data, Indonesia has accumulated 1166.50 total points. John Herdman's side gained a net total of 9.45 points over the course of their title-winning campaign at the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.
These points were collected gradually starting from the group stage. Indonesia obtained 4.12 points after beating Singapore in their opening tournament match.

Notably, Thailand also saw their ranking improve despite failing to win the title. While the defeat to Indonesia cost Thailand 0.85 points, their global standing still rose to 93rd place.
Thailand holds 1251.42 total points, overtaking China who dropped to 94th position with 1247.42 points. This confirms that results from the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 did not push Thailand down the latest FIFA Rankings table.
This movement illustrates that FIFA ranking positions are not determined solely by individual Match Results. Position shifts of other national teams and full cumulative points calculations also influence every country's standing.
