Central Lombok - Veda Ega Pratama finished in sixth position at the 2026 Moto3 Indonesian Grand Prix, held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara on Sunday 11 October 2026. Meanwhile, Maximo Quiles claimed race victory and officially secured the 2026 Moto3 World Championship title.

Honda Team Asia rider Veda Ega Pratama collected 10 championship points after starting the race from seventh on the grid. He gained one position over the course of the grand prix to cross the line sixth at his home round, racing in front of local Indonesian supporters.

Official race results record Veda finishing immediately behind fifth placed Rico Salmela, and ahead of seventh placed Guido Pini. Veda ended the grand prix 12.017 seconds adrift of the race winner.

Maximo Quiles Takes Victory And Seals World Title

Quiles delivered a commanding performance to take the Mandalika race win. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider finished ahead of David Almansa, with Brian Uriarte completing the top three podium positions.

This victory mathematically confirmed Quiles as the 2026 Moto3 World Champion. The title was secured with five full laps still remaining in the grand prix, once his points lead became impossible for any rival to overturn.

Updated championship Standings show Quiles now holds 351 total points, with a 132 point gap over second placed Almansa on 219 points. With only a maximum 125 points available across the remaining remaining rounds of the season, this advantage is sufficient to guarantee Quiles the world championship crown.

Veda Climbs Standings With Additional Points

The 10 points earned at the Indonesian Grand Prix bring Veda's season total to 115 points. Post-race official standings confirm the 17 year old rider has moved up to seventh position overall in the Moto3 championship.

Veda has now overtaken both Hakim Danish and Matteo Bertelle, who each hold 109 points in the updated rankings.

This sixth place finish represents a strong home round result for Veda. He successfully secured valuable championship points amidst the tightly contested Moto3 field, while Quiles closed the Mandalika race Weekend with his historic title clinching victory.
