Surprises marked the second matchday of the Champions League league phase on Wednesday WIB. Club Brugge humiliated Inter Milan with a 4-3 victory at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, while Bayern Munich failed to take all three points after being held to a 3-3 draw by Norwegian side Viking FK.
Club Brugge secured their away win in Milan courtesy of a hat-trick from Nicolo Tresoldi plus an additional goal from Romeo Vermant. Inter fought back with two goals from Lautaro Martinez and one strike from Ange-Yoan Bonny, but could not avoid defeat on their own home ground.
These results lift Club Brugge to 18th place in the standings with 3 points. Meanwhile, Inter sit in 28th position, still without a single point after their opening two matches.

Tresoldi Hat-Trick Silences Inter Milan
Inter actually started the match brightly, creating a dangerous chance in the 12th minute. Lautaro Martinez unleashed a curling shot from outside the penalty area, only for the effort to strike the Club Brugge goalpost.
The home side suffered a blow when Club Brugge were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute. Carlos Forbs' sharp run into the box was halted by an Inter defender, prompting the referee to point to the spot.
Tresoldi stepped up as the taker and converted calmly. The striker beat Josep Martinez in the 30th minute to put the visiting side 1-0 ahead.
Inter attempted to respond before half time. In the 44th minute, Federico Dimarco delivered a cross which Lautaro Martinez headed home, bringing the score level at 1-1 going into the half time break.
The contest intensified after the interval. Club Brugge retook the lead in the 63rd minute, when Tresoldi scored his second goal with a low finish from Hans Vanaken's pass.
Eleven minutes later, Tresoldi completed his hat-trick. He converted Jorne Spileers' cross from close range in the 74th minute, extending Club Brugge's advantage to 3-1 and putting Inter's defence under mounting pressure.
Inter refused to surrender. Lautaro Martinez netted his second goal of the night in the 81st minute to cut the deficit to 2-3, briefly reigniting the home side's hopes of salvaging something from the match.
However, Club Brugge restored their two goal cushion in the 87th minute. Romeo Vermant finished off Carlos Forbs' assist to make the score 4-2.
Inter finally pulled another goal back in stoppage time. Ange-Yoan Bonny pounced on a scramble inside the penalty box in the 90+3rd minute to make it 3-4.
Despite laying siege to the Club Brugge goal for the remaining time, Inter could not find an equaliser. Club Brugge left with a dramatic victory away at one of Italy's biggest clubs.
Bayern Munich Throw Away Victory Late On
Another upset unfolded in Norway, as Bayern Munich were held to a 3-3 draw by Viking FK at Stavanger's Lyse Arena. Bayern recovered from a two goal deficit to take the lead, only to concede at the very end of the match.
Viking stunned the visitors with just two minutes on the clock. Gianni Stensness headed home from a corner kick to put the home side 1-0 up.
Bayern built repeated attacking moves to try and pull level, but Viking's defence successfully shut down every chance they created.
Vincent Kompany's side instead conceded again in the 38th minute, when Peter Christiansen beat the Bayern Goalkeeper to double Viking's lead to 2-0.
Bayern cranked up the pressure at the start of the second half. They were handed a route back into the game in the 54th minute, when Konrad Laimer was fouled inside the penalty area.
Harry Kane stepped up for the spot kick and made no mistake. Viking goalkeeper Arild Ostbo could not keep out his strike, pulling Bayern back to 1-2.
Six minutes later, Kane struck again. This time he met an accurate lofted cross with a well placed header to level the scores at 2-2.
Bayern completed the turnaround in the 71st minute. Luis Diaz poked the ball home from close range after a goalmouth scramble in front of the Viking net.
That lead would not last long. Just two minutes after Diaz's goal, Michael Olise received two yellow cards in the space of less than a minute and was sent off, leaving Bayern to play the rest of the match with 10 men.
Viking used their numerical advantage to pile on pressure in the closing stages. The home side's efforts finally paid off when Herman Haugen scored in the 90th minute to level the match at 3-3.
Bayern could not find a winning goal before the final whistle. They were forced to settle for a single point, despite having fought back from two goals down to take the lead earlier in the match.
This draw leaves Bayern in 4th place in the league phase standings with 4 points. Viking meanwhile occupy 26th position, having picked up 1 point from their opening two matches.
