Persib Bandung is targeting their second consecutive victory in the AFC Champions League Two (ACL Two) 2026/2027 when they host Cong Viettel FC. This second Group E fixture between Persib and the Vietnamese representative will be held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, on Wednesday.
Persib captain Marc Klok stated that claiming three home points is the core target to maintain Maung Bandung's positive momentum in the Asian competition. Following their opening win against FC Seoul, Persib holds the opportunity to strengthen their group stage standing.
“We have another critical match ahead. We want to deliver a solid performance, secure all three points on home ground, and establish a strong start in this Champions League. If we can win our first two matches and collect six points, that will be an exceptional beginning,” Klok stated in Bandung on Wednesday.

Persib carries positive momentum after defeating FC Seoul 1-0 in their first match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, South Korea on 16 September.
This result serves as preparation for Bojan Hodak's side as they hunt for victory in front of their own supporters.
However, Klok acknowledged that Persib will not only face challenges from the opposition. Limited recovery and preparation time following their domestic league match against Dewa United has become a key team concern.
“The players' physical and mental condition is a critical priority to navigate this packed Match Schedule,” he said.
Player Rotation Is Persib's Key Strategy
Klok confirmed that squad rotation is one of the measures to preserve team condition while adapting to tactical requirements for every fixture.
While every player naturally desires playing time, line-up decisions must account for physical fitness and the tactical strategy prepared by the coaching staff.
“The coach, myself, and the entire squad share a very close bond. This is vital in situations like this, as we must remain united. Every player wants to feature in every match, but we have to implement rotations based on physical condition, tactical calls, and other necessary considerations,” he explained.
Persib refuses to use the congested fixture schedule as an excuse to reduce their ambitions. Klok emphasised that the squad will still target maximum results across all competitions, even as player workload will need to be managed realistically throughout the season.
“We aim to dominate the domestic league, compete properly at Asian level, and claim wins wherever we play. That said, we must also be realistic: it is impossible to perform at 100% capacity every 2 or 3 days for an entire season. We will always give our absolute best and put everything we have on the pitch,” he stated.
The match against Cong Viettel FC is scheduled to kick off at 19.15 WIB. A victory will raise Persib's points tally to 6 from 2 matches played.
After opening their Asian campaign with a positive result in South Korea, Maung Bandung now has the chance to prove their consistency on home ground.
Supporter backing, match execution effectiveness, and fitness management will all be critical factors for Persib as they work to extend their winning run in the ACL Two.
