Persija Jakarta will host Arema FC with a mission to bounce back on the sixth matchweek of BRI Super League 2026/2027 after suffering their first defeat of this season. Meanwhile, defending champions Persib Bandung will travel to Madura United's home ground to maintain their positive run of form.
The sixth matchweek fixtures are scheduled to run from Tuesday 20 October through Thursday 22 October. Both Persija and Persib are chasing full three points, but will face different challenges after picking up contrasting results in their previous matches.
As per the official schedule published on the I.League website, Persija will play first at their home stadium on Wednesday 21 October. One day later, Persib will play their away fixture at Madura United's ground in Pamekasan.

Persija Jakarta's Comeback Opportunity Against Arema FC
Persija Jakarta will host Arema FC at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi on Wednesday 21 October at 19.00 WIB. This match gives Macan Kemayoran the chance to respond to their dramatic loss against Persita Tangerang in the fifth matchweek.
Persija fell 2-3 to Persita in that prior match. Aleksa Andrejic's late winner in the 6th minute of stoppage time denied Persija any points, after the side had fought back to equalise twice during regular play.
This marked Persija's first negative result this season. For this reason, the fixture against Arema FC is not just an opportunity to return to winning ways - it is also a critical moment for the capital club to prove their consistency at the top end of the league.
Persija currently sits top of the provisional Standings with 12 points from 5 matches. A victory over Arema will allow them to hold onto first place amid the tight early-season competition.
However Arema FC also arrive with strong motivation to turn their form around. The side nicknamed Singo Edan are coming off a 1-3 away defeat against Garudayaksa FC in the last matchweek.
Persib Bandung Travel To Face Madura United In Pamekasan
A separate test awaits Persib Bandung. The defending champions will visit Gelora Madura Ratu Pamelingan Stadium in Pamekasan to face Madura United on Thursday 22 October at 19.00 WIB.
Persib head into this match following a 1-0 win over Persik Kediri on Sunday 18 October. This result gives Maung Bandung momentum to continue their positive form and climb higher up the table.
Persib currently holds 5th place with 10 points. Securing all three points from this away trip will let them keep pressure on the leading clubs in the division.
That said, Madura United cannot be underestimated. The hosts are also hunting for a win after they were held to a 3-3 draw against Bhayangkara FC on Friday 16 October.
Nicknamed Laskar Sape Kerrab, the side are aiming to get back to winning form after recording strong performances in their opening three matches of the campaign.
Home advantage gives Madura United a real chance to improve their results and stay in the race for top table positions. Persib will need to deliver a sharp, effective performance if they intend to take all three points back from Pamekasan.
This fixture will act as a key test of Persib's consistency. Beyond just chasing consecutive wins, the side need to keep pace with their rivals in the battle for the league summit.
Other Sixth Matchweek Fixtures: BRI Super League
