Eberechi Eze Opens The Scoring For Arsenal
Arsenal started the match with effective play, and successfully converted their chance to take the lead in the 25th minute.
Receiving a pass from Martin Odegaard, Eberechi Eze cut into the penalty box before firing a shot into the bottom right corner of the goal. Manuel Neuer attempted to reach the ball, but was unable to stop the Arsenal player's strike.
Eze's goal was initially reviewed by VAR to verify his positioning. Following the review, the referee allowed the goal to stand as the Arsenal forward was positioned ahead of Josip Stanisic, meaning he was onside.
Arsenal's 1-0 lead only lasted for 10 minutes.
Alphonso Davies and Harry Kane Turn The Tie Around
Bayern equalised in the 35th minute through Alphonso Davies. Harry Kane provided the assist, playing an accurate pass from near the halfway line into the empty space behind Jurrien Timber.
Davies latched onto the ball and struck a right-footed shot beyond the reach of David Raya. The score became 1-1, and this result remained until the end of the first half.
As the second half got underway, Bayern pushed to take control of the match. Their chance to go ahead arrived in the 61st minute, when the referee awarded a penalty after Kane's shot inside the box struck Timber's arm.
Prior to this incident, Kane had met Konrad Laimer's cross into the centre of the penalty area. The referee ruled a handball offence and awarded Bayern the spot kick.
Kane stepped up as the taker and executed the penalty perfectly, placing the ball into the opposite corner from Raya's dive. Bayern now led 2-1.
This situation forced Arsenal to chase the game to erase the deficit.
Declan Rice Rescues Arsenal From Defeat

Arsenal refused to give up despite Bayern holding the lead. The away side's efforts finally paid off with an 82nd minute goal scored by Declan Rice.
Rice linked up with Viktor Gyokeres before finding space to unleash a powerful strike. The England National Team midfielder placed the ball into the bottom left corner of Neuer's goal.
Rice's goal levelled the score at 2-2, and revived Arsenal's hopes of leaving with a positive result.
Both sides continued to search for a winning goal in the remaining match time. However, no further goals were scored before the final whistle blew. Arsenal and Bayern were forced to settle for a share of the points.
