The Indonesia Golf Festival (IGF) 2026 will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, on 23–25 October 2026. Carrying the theme "Elevate the Game, Expand the Sport", this festival opens access for the general public to get acquainted with golf through interactive experiences, with no prior playing skills required.

Golf has long been commonly associated with vast courses, specialized gear, and prohibitive playing costs. Through IGF 2026, organizers aim to introduce the public to every side of this sport: from trying out basic gameplay, to learning about industry technology, equipment, and professional career paths in golf.

Hosted by the Indonesian Golf Course Owners Association (APLGI) in partnership with PT Satu Tujuan Event (SATUE), IGF 2026 acts as a central meeting space for course operators, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, golf academies, community groups, and aspiring golfers.

This year’s event has been scaled up significantly from prior editions. IGF 2026 targets 30,000 total visitors, will host over 120 exhibiting organisations and approximately 150 brands. A 10,000 square metre exhibition floor has been prepared, twice the area of the previous festival.

From Golf Simulators To Coaching Clinics

One of IGF 2026's core draws is accessible hands-on golf experience for all visitors. Golf simulators and mini golf courses are provided for members of the public who wish to try the sport before stepping onto a full professional course.

Visitors may also join free coaching clinics to learn the fundamentals of the game, from proper swing technique to correct equipment handling. For total beginners, these sessions provide a low-pressure, relaxed first introduction to golf.

Beyond gameplay activities, the festival will also host official product launches, expert panel discussions with industry practitioners and professional athletes, and dedicated community gathering events. This full program lineup allows visitors to understand golf as a full ecosystem, not just a sport played on grass courses.

This interactive approach forms a central pillar of efforts to grow public outreach for Golf in Indonesia. Members of the public who previously only knew golf from television or distant course grounds can now gain first-hand experience and connect directly with the golf community.

Bridging Sport, Business And Tourism

IGF 2026 is not focused solely on playing activities. The festival will also showcase the full golf support ecosystem including apparel, Sports Technology, as well as specialised golf Travel and tourism services.

The presence of these cross-sector participants allows visitors to compare products, gather information, and build direct connections with industry operators. For brands and service providers, the festival also acts as a high-impact platform to launch offerings and reach new potential customers.

Inclusion of the travel and tourism sector also highlights how golf development intersects with wider industries. Golf experiences can form a core part of Leisure Travel, while supporting infrastructure creates major growth opportunities for the national sport Tourism Ecosystem.

Budiarsa Sastrawinata, General Chairman of APLGI, has framed IGF as a key initiative to strengthen the National Golf Ecosystem. By bringing together industry stakeholders and the general public, the festival is designed to increase mass participation while introducing golf to more diverse demographic groups.

Growth Targets Following The 2025 Edition

IGF 2026 builds on strong positive momentum from the prior festival edition. The 2025 IGF recorded 23,488 total visitors, hosted 82 exhibiting organisations and featured over 100 brands.

Total on-site transaction value from the 2025 event reached an estimated IDR 10 to 15 billion. This figure confirms the golf festival operates not just as a community gathering, but as a high-value trade and promotion platform for the entire industry.

With an increased visitor target and double the exhibition floor space, IGF 2026 aims to expand mass public reach for golf, while strengthening collaborative ties between the community and industry businesses.

Ultimately, the greatest challenge for growing Golf in Indonesia is not just building facilities or supplying equipment: it is opening accessible doors for ordinary people to try, and enjoy, this sport.

Through simulators, mini golf, beginner clinics and community activities, Indonesia Golf Festival 2026 provides that welcoming starting point for the public to get to know golf.
