Forget the defeat against Madura United, Persib is focusing on facing Garudayaksa FC in the Super League.

Persib Bandung have no time to dwell on disappointment following their defeat against Madura United. Head coach Igor Tolic has ordered his squad to regroup immediately and shift full focus to their seventh matchweek fixture against Garudayaksa FC for the 2026/2027 Super League.

Persib is scheduled to face Garudayaksa FC at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency, on Sunday 25 October 2026 at 19:00 WIB. This match gives Maung Bandung the chance to respond to the disappointing result and get back on track for victories.

Cited from the club's official page on Saturday, Tolic assessed that Persib actually controlled the game flow and created multiple chances during the Madura United match. However, failure to convert these opportunities coupled with one critical error forced them to leave the pitch without any points.

"We had plenty of chances in this match and only lost due to that single mistake. But there is no time to grieve. We must switch our full focus immediately to the next fixture," stated Tolic.

Persib suffered a narrow 0-1 loss against Madura United in the sixth matchweek. Dimitar Mitkov's lone 89th minute goal crushed Maung Bandung's efforts to bring home points.

Persib Racing Against Time For Player Recovery

Persib's challenges are not limited to fixing their gameplay, they must also restore player fitness within a very tight window. The coaching team only has two effective full days to prepare for the Garudayaksa FC clash.

To work around this situation, club management and the coaching staff have arranged an optimised Travel and recovery program. Right after the match concluded in Pamekasan, the entire Persib squad departed by bus for Surabaya to conduct post-match recovery sessions.

Following this, the team will return to Bandung for tactical training before travelling onwards to Bogor.

With limited preparation time, effective recovery will be one of the most critical factors. Tolic requires a squad in peak physical condition, while also correcting the weaknesses exposed during the Madura United match.

Sandy Walsh Promises A Positive Response

Persib full-back Sandy Walsh highlighted the support of fans who travelled to attend the match in Pamekasan. He expressed appreciation for supporters who made the long journey to cheer on the team throughout the fixture.

This support has become extra motivation for the players, even though the final result did not meet expectations. Sandy confirmed that Persib intend to make amends for the fans' disappointment with an improved performance in the upcoming match.

"As one team, we are fully committed to chase all three points and respond properly to this disappointment this coming Sunday," said Sandy.

The match against Garudayaksa FC will be the next test for Maung Bandung. Working with a short preparation window, Persib is required to quickly rediscover their best form in order to secure a positive result at Pakansari Stadium.
