Indonesia vs Thailand in the 2026 ASEAN Cup Final, Pramono Anung is confident the Garuda Squad will win 2-1.

Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo shared his prediction for the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup Final fixture that will pit the Indonesian National Team against Thailand.

Pramono is backing the Indonesian National Team to secure a 2-1 victory for this match, which will be hosted at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), Jakarta on Monday, 5 October 2026.

“If I had to make a guess, I predict 2-1. And God willing, we will take the win,” Pramono stated when met in East Jakarta on Sunday, 4 October 2026.

Pramono confirmed he has closely followed the Indonesian National Team's run throughout the tournament. One fixture that stood out to him was when Garuda Squad faced Bangladesh and claimed a dominant 9-2 victory.

Outside of Indonesia's matches, Pramono also watched the Malaysia vs Singapore fixture which ended with a convincing 6-0 win for Malaysia.

The path to the grand final grew far more tense when Indonesia was forced to fight through a fiercely contested match that extended into extra time.

“Honestly that was an incredibly nail-biting match. Especially the back and forth goals during extra time? That was absolutely phenomenal in my view,” Pramono remarked.

All of Pramono's attention is now focused on Indonesia's final clash with Thailand. He hopes the efforts of the Indonesian National Team Players will culminate in them lifting the tournament trophy.

He also noted that claiming the 2026 ASEAN Cup title would serve as a special gift for the entire Indonesian public.

“Indonesia has now made it all the way to the final. I sincerely hope that PSSI can deliver this very special present for our nation right now,” Pramono added.

The 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup final between Indonesia and Thailand is officially scheduled to be held at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta on Monday (5/10).

Kickoff for this match is set for 20:00 WIB, and it will be the Indonesian National Team's chance to end their tournament campaign by lifting the championship title.
