Super League Result: Jeremejeff scored twice against Arema FC, Persija returns to the top of the league standings.

Persija Jakarta have reclaimed the top of the league table after securing a 5-1 demolition of Arema FC on matchweek six of the BRI Super League 2026/2027. Playing at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi on Wednesday night, Alexander Jeremejeff emerged as the match star after scoring two goals for the Macan Kemayoran side.

With this commanding victory, Persija now hold 15 points, overtaking Dewa United Banten FC who previously led the standings with 14 points. This result also confirms the clear top-table ambition of Shin Tae-yong's squad right from the early phase of the season.

Jeremejeff netted his brace during the first half. Stjepan Loncar, Victor Dethan, and Ivan Mamut later completed the home side's goal haul in the second half. Meanwhile, Arema only managed to score once through Gabriel Silva.

Persija took attacking initiative immediately from kickoff. The home side's pressure resulted in an opening goal after just 10 minutes of play.

Jeremejeff converted an opportunity inside the penalty box with a left-footed strike that beat Arema Goalkeeper Muhammad Adi Satryo.

This goal gave Persija the lead, and forced Arema's defensive line to work under heavy pressure against the constant attacks from Shin Tae-yong's squad.

Rayhan Hannan had a chance in the 39th minute with a curling shot, but his effort did not threaten Arema's goal.

The visiting side actually created an equalising opportunity in the 42nd minute. Matheus Nascimento broke through the central area to go one-on-one against Persija goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata, only for Nadeo to successfully deny the attempt.

Arema fell further behind when Jeremejeff doubled Persija's lead in the 45th minute. This goal marked Jeremejeff's 6th goal from 6 matches this season. Persija closed the first half with a 2-0 advantage.

Persija Score Three More Goals In The Final 20 Minutes

Arema attempted to improve their performance after half time. The visitors temporarily managed to hold Persija from extending their lead during the early second half.

However, Persija found their opening once the match entered the final 20 minutes. In the 69th minute, Hannan got a clear chance in front of goal, but Adi Satryo produced an excellent save.

In the 72nd minute, Dony Tri Pamungkas sent a cross towards substitute Ivan Mamut, but the Croatian striker's header went over the crossbar.

Persija's third goal finally arrived in the 76th minute. Dony created the attacking build-up, playing a pass towards Stjepan Loncar whose finish beat Adi Satryo.

Growing in confidence, Persija struck again just four minutes later. Substitute Victor Dethan added his name to the scoresheet in the 80th minute.

Arema pulled one goal back to make it 1-4 after Gabriel Silva beat Nadeo in the 88th minute.

Any faint comeback hopes for the visitors ended when Ivan Mamut scored Persija's fifth goal.

This strike confirmed a comprehensive 5-1 victory for Persija.

Persija Return To The Top Of The Super League Standings

The win over Arema puts Persija back at the provisional top of the BRI Super League 2026/2027 table. Persija sits on 15 points, one point clear of Dewa United Banten FC.

Alongside the three league points, this four-goal winning margin also provides a major confidence boost for the Persija squad.

For their next fixture, Persija will host Persik Kediri on Monday 26 October, kickoff at 19.00 WIB.
