Indonesia has advanced eight representatives to the quarter-finals of French Open 2026, after every Red and White squad player secured victory in the Round of 16. This flawless result keeps Indonesia in contention to challenge for titles across all categories of the Badminton Tournament held in Paris.

Indonesia's winning run was kicked off by Moh Zaki Ubaidillah, followed by successful performances from players across men's singles, men's doubles, Women's Doubles and mixed doubles disciplines.

Having all eight representatives progress to the quarter-final stage serves as critical momentum for Indonesia in Paris. Not a single Indonesian player was eliminated in the Round of 16, meaning every competition category still has local representatives alive in the tournament.

Zaki Ubaidillah and Alwi Farhan Hold Men's Singles Hopes

Moh Zaki Ubaidillah became the first Indonesian player to book his quarter-final spot. Known affectionately as Ubed, he defeated Koki Watanabe 21-17, 21-14 in a 42 minute encounter.

This victory paved the way for the rest of the Indonesian squad to follow suit. Alwi Farhan next secured his place in the last eight after overcoming Angus Ng Ka Long with scores of 21-18, 21-17.

Alwi was forced to withstand a tough challenge, particularly during the opening game. However, he held his advantage at crucial moments to close out the match in straight games.

With these two wins, Indonesia now has two representatives remaining in the men's singles draw. Both Ubed and Alwi remain in contention to progress through to the semi-final round.

Putri Kusuma Wardani Secures Convincing Victory

In the Women's Singles category, Putri Kusuma Wardani delivered a dominant performance against Neslihan Arin. The Indonesian shuttler required just 28 minutes to wrap up the match with a comfortable 21-9, 21-8 scoreline.

This result showcased the sharp form Putri KW displayed right from the opening game. She gave her opponent very little opportunity to build any rhythm, booking her quarter-final place without needing to play a decider game.

This win keeps Indonesia's hopes alive in the women's singles discipline. Such an efficient performance will also serve as positive confidence heading into the tougher challenges that await in the quarter-finals.

Raymond Indra / Nikolaus Joaquin Progress Through Tight Encounter

A far harder battle awaited men's doubles pair Raymond Indra / Nikolaus Joaquin. They were pushed all the way by Chen Bo Yang / Liu Yi before eventually clinching victory 24-22, 22-20.

Both games remained closely contested past the 20 point mark, with Raymond / Joaquin holding their nerve to claim the deciding points and wrap up the match in straight games.

Elsewhere, Leo Rolly Carnando / Daniel Marthin put in a far more convincing display against home French pair Christo Popov / Toma Junior Popov. The Indonesian duo ran out 21-9, 21-15 winners in just 32 minutes of play.

These two results mean Indonesia has advanced two men's doubles pairs to the 2026 French Open quarter-finals.

Rachel Allessya Rose / Febi Setianingrum Progress After Three Game Battle

The women's doubles category also delivered an Indonesian qualifier, as Rachel Allessya Rose / Febi Setianingrum booked their last eight spot after a hard fought match against Hong Kong pairing Yeung Nga Ting / Yeung Pui Lam.

Rachel / Febi took the opening game in a tight 24-22 contest, before their opponents hit back to take the second game 21-19, forcing a deciding third set.

The Indonesian pair held their composure to close out the final game 21-18. The final 24-22, 19-21, 21-18 scoreline confirmed Rachel / Febi's quarter-final place after an exhausting, high tempo duel.

This success adds another strong Indonesian representative in the women's doubles draw.

Amri / Nita and Tiwi / Fadia Complete Indonesia's Perfect Round

Indonesian Mixed Doubles pair Amri Syahnawi / Nita Violina Marwah also confirmed their quarter-final berth. They delivered an impressive performance to defeat 2026 All England champions Ye Hong Wei / Nicole Gonzalez Chan.

The Indonesian Mixed Doubles duo secured a straight games victory with scores of 21-14, 21-12. This marks a significant win for the 2026 Asian Games silver medallists, having overcome an opponent with an established record at elite level tournaments.

Finally, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi / Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti closed out Indonesia's perfect Round of 16 run. They defeated Lin Chih Chun / Yang Chu Yun 22-20, 21-8.

The opening game was tightly contested past the 20 point mark, before Tiwi / Fadia secured the game then stepped up to produce a dominant performance in the second set. This result confirmed their quarter-final place and completed the full clean sweep of wins for Indonesia.

All eight Indonesian representatives are scheduled to compete in the 2026 French Open quarter-finals on Friday 23 October. Results from this round will determine which players will advance to the semi-final stage of the tournament.

The perfect record carried over from the Round of 16 puts Indonesia in a strong position to remain competitive across every competition category. That said, challenges will only grow more difficult from this point onwards, with every match now representing a critical hurdle on the path to the semi-finals.
