14 Indonesian representatives are undertaking the European badminton tour, with Jonatan Christie serving as the squad's main leading hope for the series of matches.
Putri got off to an aggressive start, building an early 3-0 lead. However, Huang quickly turned the tide, forcing a tight neck-and-neck battle right from the start of the match.
The tight contest continued as Putri levelled the score at 7-7. Huang kept applying consistent pressure, but Putri managed to edge back ahead with a narrow 8-7 lead.
Huang then utilised sharp net play to trouble Putri. This strategy worked, as she took an 11-9 lead at the first game interval break.
After the interval, Putri adjusted her gameplay and stepped up offensive pressure. This effort paid off when she erased the deficit and turned the tables to take an 18-15 advantage.
Yet Huang refused to give up. The Taiwanese representative fought right back to level the score once again at 19-19, setting up an extremely tense finish for the opening game.
In this critical high-pressure moment, Putri kept her composure. She claimed the next two consecutive points to close out the first game with a 21-19 win.
Securing the opening game became the vital foundation that allowed Putri to take full control of the match for the second game.
Putri's Dominance Sealed Her Quarter Final Ticket
Entering the second game, Putri played with full aggression, immediately building a 5-2 lead before reeling off seven straight points consecutively.
Putri entered the mid-game interval with a dominant 11-2 lead. Unlike the first game, she was fully in control of the match flow this time, completely restricting Huang from developing her own gameplay.
Putri continued holding momentum, extending her lead further to 12-2.
Huang attempted to close the gap and managed to bring the score to 14-5. However, this small rally was not enough to stop Putri's advancing momentum.
The Indonesian Women's Singles player kept pressing forward, stretching her lead to 18-5. With the point gap now unassailable, Putri comfortably closed out the second game 21-8 to wrap up the match.
This result officially books Putri Kusuma Wardani's spot in the 2026 Denmark Open quarter finals. Her ability to fight back under pressure in the first game, followed by her commanding display in the second, became the winning key that allows her to progress further in this tournament.
