Tiwi/Fadia entered this tournament as the 5th seeds. This seeding gap did not dent their confidence going up against Hsu/Lin, who are established as one of the strongest active contenders in the Women's Doubles discipline.
This victory also secured one championship title for the Indonesian contingent at the 2026 HYLO Open. Tiwi/Fadia's road to the top podium was far from easy, as they had to battle through multiple high-stakes matches before reaching the final round.
Tiwi/Fadia Stage Comeback After Trailing First Game
The opening game immediately turned into a tight contest between Tiwi/Fadia and Hsu/Lin, with both pairs trading points evenly until the score stood level at 8-8.
The Chinese Taipei pair then capitalised on opening opportunities to pull ahead, taking two consecutive points to lead 10-8. A misplaced net return from Tiwi allowed their opponents to take the mid-game interval lead at 11-9.
Following the break, Tiwi/Fadia adjusted tactics to find a more effective game rhythm. They stepped up offensive pressure and successfully levelled the score at 12-12.
This momentum shift became the turning point for the Indonesian pair. Hsu/Lin began committing unforced errors which Tiwi/Fadia capitalised on to take control of the lead.
Tiwi/Fadia pulled ahead to establish a 15-12 advantage, and maintained their point gap to hold a 17-14 lead as the first game entered its closing phase.
The Indonesian pair kept their consistency even as Hsu/Lin attempted a late comeback. After building a 19-16 lead, Tiwi/Fadia finally closed out the opening game 21-18.
This first game win provided valuable momentum for Tiwi/Fadia. While they only needed one more game to claim the title, Hsu/Lin still held every chance to turn the match around.

The Chinese Taipei pair held their advantage to take the second game mid-interval with an 11-9 scoreline.
Tiwi/Fadia refused to let their opponents control the match for long. After the interval, they pushed steadily to close the gap and equalised once more at 13-13.
The match opened up once again. Both pairs traded tactical plays to earn points, with tension rising sharply as the championship title came within reach.
Hsu/Lin looked poised to take control when they moved ahead 18-16. However Tiwi/Fadia displayed calm under pressure in this critical stage, maintaining consistent pressure to find openings and turn the tide.
This effort paid off. Tiwi/Fadia levelled the score at 19-19, leaving the title evenly up for grabs once again.
On the final two deciding points, the Indonesian pair capitalised on unforced errors from their opponents to close out the match 21-19.
This result confirmed Tiwi/Fadia as the 2026 HYLO Open Women's Doubles champions after a hard-fought two-game contest.
Tiwi/Fadia's Road To The Championship Title
Prior to reaching the final match, Tiwi/Fadia had already delivered convincing performances across the earlier tournament rounds.
In the Quarter Final stage, they faced home pair Stine Kuespert and Isabel Lohau. Tiwi/Fadia delivered a dominant display, winning in straight games with scores of 21-7, 21-10.
This victory was wrapped up in just 32 minutes, demonstrating the Indonesian pair's full control of the match and booking their place in the semi-final round.
A sterner test awaited in the final four. Tiwi/Fadia were drawn against Bulgarian pair Gabriela Stoeva and Stefani Stoeva, the 4th seeds and reigning European Champions.
Tiwi/Fadia passed this test, securing another straight games win 21-16, 24-22. They required 50 minutes of play to end the Bulgarian pair's tournament run.
During the first semi-final game, Tiwi/Fadia trailed early before staging a turnaround, taking six consecutive points to move ahead 10-6. They held this advantage to close out the opening game 21-16.
The second game was far more dramatic. Tiwi/Fadia built a 15-10 lead before the Stoeva sisters fought back to level at 17-17.
Both pairs remained locked in a tight contest which went all the way to deuce. Tiwi/Fadia eventually secured the 24-22 win to confirm their spot in the tournament final.
This victory over the reigning European Champions provided critical confidence heading into the final against Hsu/Lin. Tiwi/Fadia once again proved their resilience by defeating the top seeds to lift the championship trophy.
Indonesia Secures Title At 2026 HYLO Open
Tiwi/Fadia's title win is a major result for the Indonesian contingent at the 2026 HYLO Open. The women's doubles pair completed their tournament run with a perfect winning record across three knockout matches: Quarter Final, semi final and the final.
Consistency was the defining feature of their campaign. Tiwi/Fadia won every knockout match in straight games from the quarter final onwards, despite facing opponents of varying difficulty levels.
In the final match, their ability to maintain focus while trailing proved the difference. They did not collapse after falling behind at the first game interval, nor under the late pressure in the second game.
