Young Indonesian Racer Veda Ega Pratama improved his standing in the 2026 Moto3 provisional rankings after completing the Indonesian Grand Prix at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday 11 October 2026.

The Honda Team Asia rider crossed the finish line in 6th place. This result earned him an additional 10 championship points, bringing Veda's total season tally to 115, and lifting him from 8th to 7th position in the provisional Standings.

This result keeps Veda within reach of further ranking improvements across the 5 remaining rounds of the season. He currently sits just 8 points behind 6th placed Valentin Perrone, who holds 123 championship points.

Immediately below Veda is Matteo Bertelle on 109 points. Malaysian rider Hakim Danish dropped one position to 9th after the Mandalika round, now sitting on 107 points.

Veda Ega Battles At The Front During Mandalika Moto3 Round

Veda started the Indonesian Moto3 Grand Prix from 7th on the grid. Throughout the race, the Indonesian rider fought in the leading pack before ultimately crossing the chequered flag in 6th position.

He finished the race 12.017 seconds behind race winner Maximo Quiles. Though he was unable to secure a home podium in front of the Indonesian crowd, the points earned at Mandalika remain a valuable boost for Veda's championship campaign for the remainder of the season.

With such a narrow points gap to Perrone, a place inside the championship top 6 remains well within reach. Consistent performances across the upcoming rounds will be critical if Veda is to climb further up the rankings.

Maximo Quiles Secures 2026 Moto3 World Championship Title

The Indonesian Grand Prix also marked a historic milestone for Maximo Quiles. His victory at Mandalika mathematically confirmed the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider as the 2026 Moto3 World Champion.

Quiles completed the race with a total time of 32 minutes 36.821 seconds, recording his 10th race win of the 2026 season.

He finished 2.994 seconds clear of 2nd placed David Almansa, with Brian Uriarte completing the race podium in 3rd position.

Quiles' Indonesian victory extended his already dominant lead at the top of the championship standings. He now holds 351 championship points, a 132 point advantage over 2nd placed Almansa on 219 points.

With only 5 rounds remaining, a maximum of 125 championship points are still available to all riders this season. This means no competitor can mathematically catch Quiles' points total, confirming the 2026 Moto3 World Championship title as unassailably his.
