The Indonesia Travel Sport Team attended the festival preparations directly alongside GOLF, to observe developments in the national golf industry and explore collaboration opportunities between the sports and tourism sectors.
This presence provides an opportunity to observe how golf is evolving not only as a sport, but also as an integral part of Indonesia's Tourism Potential. Meetings between industry operators and community groups open doors to expand professional networks and drive collaborative development for Sport Tourism.
Golf Is More Than Just A Game
Indonesia Golf Festival 2026 is not exclusively targeted at professional golfers. This festival also opens opportunities for the general public to be introduced to golf through a variety of interactive activities.
Visitors will be able to test the latest golf equipment, try out golf simulators and mini golf courses, as well as attend coaching clinics to learn basic playing techniques. Product launches, industry discussion panels, and community activities will also be available to complete the visitor experience.
This range of activities forms part of efforts to broaden public access to golf. Long commonly associated with an exclusive premium Lifestyle, this sport now has the opportunity to reach wider demographic groups through these accessible interactive experiences.
Beyond sporting activities, IGF will also bring together all supporting industry sectors: golf course operators, equipment manufacturers, sports brands, technology providers, the hospitality industry, as well as travel and tourism service providers.
With its IDR 20 billion transaction target, this festival is expected to generate new business opportunities, expand partnership networks, and strengthen the national golf industry ecosystem.
GOLF Advances Its Golf Tourism Concept
Developing golf as an integrated component of tourism is one of the core priorities of PT Intra Golflink Resorts Tbk. This commitment is demonstrated through the company's participation in IGF 2026, supported by GOLF's President Commissioner Darma Mangkuluhur Hutomo.
GOLF operates a portfolio of golf courses including New Kuta Golf in Bali, Palm Hill Golf in Sentul, Bogor, and Black Rocks Golf in Belitung. The company also holds a long-term vision to develop integrated, innovative tourism and property estates.
Through its golf tourism approach, GOLF connects golf playing activities with premium residential accommodation, hospitality services, wellness facilities, and nature-based recreation.
This concept extends the visitor experience: travellers will no longer only visit these destinations to play golf, but will also be able to utilise accommodation, relaxation facilities, and recreation options all within the same integrated area.
Bali, Sentul and Belitung each have distinct destination characteristics. Integrating golf facilities with the unique local potential of each region creates opportunities to deliver varied tourism experiences for both Domestic Visitors and international tourists.
Opportunities for Indonesian Sport Tourism
Visitor enthusiasm and active industry participation form critical foundations for the development of Indonesia's National Golf Ecosystem. However, the full potential of sport tourism is not determined by golf course quality alone: it also depends on the ability to connect the sport with supporting infrastructure and the unique appeal of each destination.
Through IGF 2026, collaboration between golf course operators, communities, business actors and the tourism sector is expected to be significantly strengthened.
For GOLF, this integrated approach represents an opportunity to improve visitor experiences while expanding its business operations across connected sports and tourism sectors.
Ultimately, Indonesia Golf Festival 2026 is far more than just an exhibition space for showcasing products and Golf Technology. This festival also acts as a platform to connect business opportunities, broaden public access to the sport, and establish golf tourism as a leading pillar of Indonesian Sport Tourism.
With sustained cross-sector collaboration, golf has the potential to grow beyond being just a sport, and become an integral tourism experience that strengthens the global and domestic appeal of Indonesia as a Travel Destination.
