Full List of 2026 Ballon d'Or Award Winners, Spain National Football Team Dominates

The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony featured major football figures claiming the sport's most prestigious individual honours. Harry Kane emerged as the headline winner after being crowned Men's Player of the Year, while Alexia Putellas reaffirmed her dominance in the women's category.

Held at the London Palladium Theatre in London, United Kingdom in the early hours of WIB Tuesday 27 October, the awards gala also recognised a host of other standout performers. Lamine Yamal retained the men's Best Young Player title, while Unai Simon lifted the Lev Yashin Trophy for the world's top male goalkeeper.

Kane beat out rivals including Kylian Mbappe and Yamal to claim the 2026 men's Ballon d'Or. The Bayern Munich and England National Team striker follows in the footsteps of Michael Owen, who was the last English player to win this award back in 2001.

Prior to collecting the main Ballon d'Or prize, Kane was also awarded Men's Best Striker. This double recognition caps a landmark campaign for the forward, who has built a reputation for elite consistent goalscoring output.

Alexia Putellas Reclaims Top Honour In Women's Category

In the women's division, Alexia Putellas once again secured the Ballon d'Or. The 2026 award marks her third career win, following previous victories in 2021 and 2022.

This achievement solidifies Putellas' status as one of the most influential athletes in Women's Football. Her repeat triumph adds another career-defining individual honour to her professional record.

Elsewhere, Lamine Yamal further cemented his reputation as one of World Football's most exceptional young talents. The Barcelona winger and Spain international won the Men's Best Young Player award for the third consecutive year.

Having already lifted the same title in 2024 and 2025, Yamal's retention of the award through 2026 demonstrates his ability to perform consistently at elite level despite his young age.

Spain National Team Set Dominates Awards Haul

Players and coaching staff from the Spain national setup featured heavily across the 2026 Ballon d'Or winners list. Alongside Yamal, head coach Luis de la Fuente was named Best Coach, while Unai Simon claimed the Lev Yashin Trophy.

This clean sweep reflects the strong standing of Spanish Football at this year's ceremony: Yamal was recognised for his generational young talent, De la Fuente honoured for his tactical leadership, and Simon acclaimed as the world's top goalkeeper.
