Tight Schedule: Persib is focusing on the match against Persija first, before facing FC Seoul in the AFC Champions League Two.

Persib Bandung are faced with two high-stakes matches within a window of only four days. The Blue Prince have prioritised fully completing their away fixture at Persija Jakarta's home ground first, before turning their preparations towards the AFC Champions League (ACL) Two.

Persib will face Persija for the second matchweek of the 2026/27 Super League at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta on Saturday 12 September. Immediately after this fixture, Persib will travel to South Korea to take on FC Seoul on Wednesday 16 September.

Persib will only have roughly three effective full days to prepare for the match in South Korea.

Persib head coach Igor Tolic has declined to discuss the planned squad lineup for FC Seoul prematurely. Player conditions immediately following the Persija match will be the primary deciding factor for selecting the starting eleven.

The Croatian manager will first assess which of his players remain fully match-ready and which will be dealing with fitness fatigue or issues after the fixture at SUGBK.

"Yes, the trip to Korea. I do not know yet, we will just wait and see who stays fit and who picks up an injury," Tolic stated on Persib's official website.

This stance from Tolic confirms Persib are avoiding rushing any early decisions. With two critical matches scheduled this close together, player physical condition can shift drastically directly after the Persija clash.

For this reason, confirmation on squad size and the final travelling roster for South Korea will only be finalised once the match against Persija has concluded. At this moment, Persib's entire focus is committed to this historic rivalry against the Macan Kemayoran.

"So we will see how many players we bring over to Korea. Right now, all focus is on Persija first," he added.

This decision also clearly outlines Persib's priorities amid this congested schedule. This fixture against Persija is not just a routine second matchweek Super League game, this is a high prestige, fiercely contested local rivalry match.

Persib arrive in Jakarta with positive momentum, having defeated PSM Makassar 3-1 in their season opening match. Persija also opened their campaign with a win, beating Borneo FC 1-0.

The showdown at SUGBK will be Persib's next major test. The result and physical toll of this match will also define the squad's mindset before the Maung Bandung travelling party departs for South Korea.

For Tolic, the order is clear: Persija first, FC Seoul comes later.
