Persib Bandung will be unable to use the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, as the venue has entered its scheduled maintenance period. This stadium, located in Bandung Regency, West Java, will remain unavailable for any matches until the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup tournament concludes.
The Bandung Regency Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) stated that this maintenance work is being conducted as part of the stadium's preparations to host the regional tournament.
Bandung Regency Dispora Head Dicky Anugrah confirmed the maintenance process will begin immediately after Persib completes their AFC Champions League Two play-off match against Manila Digger on 31 August 2026.

Following that fixture, FIFA will carry out a series of works to improve the condition of the stadium pitch grass.
"From 31 August onwards, FIFA has already started grass rehabilitation works at Si Jalak Harupat. The stadium is not permitted to be used for any matches whatsoever, including BRI Super League fixtures," he stated.
This means Persib will not be able to use Si Jalak Harupat when they host PSM Makassar in the Super League on 6 September 2026. This restriction applies even though Si Jalak Harupat has long been one of Persib's designated home match venues.
"Persib is not allowed to play at Si Jalak Harupat on 6 September, as the stadium has already entered the pre-tournament maintenance phase for the FIFA ASEAN Cup," he added.
Dicky clarified this decision did not come from the Bandung Regency Government. According to him, the ban on stadium use was issued by FIFA and PSSI, and this ruling has already been formally notified to Persib.
At present, all works at Si Jalak Harupat are focused on improving pitch grass quality. FIFA alongside PSSI are carrying out soil compaction and grass root reinforcement, to ensure the pitch surface is in optimal condition for the tournament.
Si Jalak Harupat's preparations for the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup will move to the next stage in mid-September. Dicky stated pitch trial runs will commence on 19 September 2026, timed alongside preparations for the arrival of participating ASEAN national contingents.
"On 19 September we will begin pitch test preparations and arrangements for tournament participants. Delegations from ASEAN countries will start arriving around this time, including for the scheduled pitch trial sessions," he said.
As of reporting, the Bandung Regency Dispora has not yet received the official schedule for the first match that will be hosted at Si Jalak Harupat. Nevertheless, venue preparations continue to progress as the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup draws near.
Meanwhile, the tournament opening ceremony is scheduled for 25 September 2026 at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta.
