Arsenal avoided defeat on their visit to Bayern Munich in the 2026/2027 Champions League fixture. Declan Rice's 82nd minute goal ensured The Gunners came away with one point after a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena, Munich, Thursday WIB.
This result demonstrated Arsenal's fighting spirit while under pressure at Bayern's home ground. The London side had taken the lead first through Eberechi Eze, before the hosts turned the match around via Alphonso Davies and a Harry Kane penalty, until Rice rescued his team from defeat.
Arsenal have now collected seven points and sit 7th in the interim standings for the 2026/2027 Champions League league phase. Bayern Munich occupy 14th position with a total of five points.

Eberechi Eze Puts Arsenal Ahead
Arsenal started the match with efficient organised play, and converted an opening opportunity to take the lead in the 25th minute.
Receiving a pass from Martin Ødegaard, Eberechi Eze drove into the penalty area before firing a shot into the bottom right corner of the goal. Manuel Neuer stretched to reach the ball, but failed to stop the Arsenal forward's strike.
Eze's goal was sent for VAR review to verify his offside line. After inspection, the referee upheld the goal as the Arsenal attacker was positioned ahead of Josip Stanisic, confirming he was onside.
Arsenal's 1-0 lead only lasted 10 minutes.
Alphonso Davies And Harry Kane Flip The Match
Bayern equalised in the 35th minute through Alphonso Davies. Harry Kane created the goal, playing an accurate long pass from just inside the halfway line into vacant space behind Jurrien Timber.
Davies ran onto the delivery and struck a right-footed shot past the outstretched David Raya. The scoreline became 1-1, and remained unchanged at the half time break.
After the restart, Bayern pushed to seize full control of the match. Their chance to take the lead arrived in the 61st minute, when the referee awarded a penalty after Kane's shot inside the box deflected off Timber's arm.
Prior to the incident, Kane had met Konrad Laimer's delivery into the centre of the penalty area. Officials ruled a handball offence had been committed, granting Bayern the spot kick.
Kane stepped up as penalty taker and converted perfectly, placing the ball into the opposite corner from Raya's dive. Bayern moved into a 2-1 lead.
This situation forced Arsenal to chase the game from behind.
Declan Rice Saves Arsenal From Defeat
Arsenal refused to concede defeat despite Bayern holding the advantage. The away side's pressure finally paid off with an 82nd minute goal scored by Declan Rice.
Rice linked up with Viktor Gyokeres before creating space to unleash a powerful driven shot. The England National Team midfielder placed the ball cleanly into the bottom left corner of Neuer's goal.
Rice's strike levelled the score at 2-2, and revived Arsenal's hopes of securing a positive result on the road.
Both teams continued to search for a late winning goal for the remainder of the match. No further goals were scored before the final whistle blew, leaving Arsenal and Bayern to settle for a shared point.
