Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Everton in the English Premier League matchweek, held at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 24 October 2026. This result sees The Gunners reach 21 points, matching the tally of Manchester City at the top of the provisional Standings.

Arsenal's two winning goals were scored in separate halves. Ezri Konsa opened the lead for the home side in the first half, before Gabriel Magalhaes sealed the victory with a goal in the second period.

Despite being level on points with Manchester City, Arsenal remain in second place due to an inferior goal difference. Meanwhile, Everton sit in ninth position with 10 points, according to official Premier League website data.

Arsenal took attacking initiative right from the start of the match. The hosts broke the deadlock in the 7th minute, when Ezri Konsa capitalised on a chaotic situation inside the Everton penalty area that originated from a corner kick.

Everton attempted to respond by stepping up pressure on Arsenal's defence. Tyrique George created a dangerous chance in the 18th minute: after getting past Ben White, George fired a powerful shot which drifted wide of the target.

Arsenal maintained control of the match flow for the remainder of the first half. No additional goals were scored, meaning the hosts went into the half-time break holding a narrow 1-0 advantage.

Entering the second half, Everton tried to play more aggressively as they chased the deficit. Even so, Arsenal's defensive line successfully nullified the visiting side's attacks and protected their lead.

Arsenal extended their lead in the 69th minute. Pushing forward to join the attack, Gabriel Magalhaes met Ben White's cross with an accurate header that beat Everton Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. This goal brought the scoreline to 2-0.

With a two-goal cushion, Arsenal controlled the game with increasing comfort. Manager Mikel Arteta made a substitution in the 80th minute, bringing on Max Dowman to replace Eberechi Eze.

The 16-year-old Dowman was trusted to operate on the left flank of Arsenal's attacking line. This change was part of the home side's efforts to maintain control of the game as the match entered its closing stages.

Everton continued to push for a goal to reduce the deficit. However, none of the visiting team's efforts came to fruition, and the match concluded with a 2-0 victory for Arsenal.
