Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Everton in the English Premier League match round at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 24 October 2026. This result brings The Gunners to 21 points, matching the total collected by Manchester City at the top of the provisional league table.

Arsenal's two winning goals were scored in separate halves. Ezri Konsa opened the home side's lead in the first half, before Gabriel Magalhaes confirmed the victory with his goal after the break.

Despite holding the same number of points as Manchester City, Arsenal remain in second position due to an inferior goal difference. Meanwhile, Everton sits in ninth place with 10 points, per published data from the official Premier League website.

Arsenal immediately took attacking initiative right from kickoff. The hosts broke the deadlock in the 7th minute, when Ezri Konsa capitalised on a loose ball scramble inside Everton's penalty area that originated from a corner kick.

Everton attempted to respond by ramping up pressure against Arsenal's defence. Tyrique George created a dangerous opportunity in the 18th minute: after getting past Ben White, George unleashed a powerful strike that drifted just wide of the target.

Arsenal maintained full control of match tempo right through to the end of the first half. No additional goals were registered, sending the hosts into the halftime interval with a narrow 1-0 advantage.

Upon entering the second half, Everton adopted a more aggressive approach to try and close the deficit. Nevertheless, Arsenal's defensive line successfully neutralised every attacking attempt from the visitors and protected their lead.

Arsenal extended their advantage in the 69th minute. Pushing forward to join the attack, Gabriel Magalhaes met Ben White's delivery with an accurate header that beat Everton Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, taking the scoreline to 2-0.

With the two-goal cushion, Arsenal controlled proceedings even more comfortably. Manager Mikel Arteta made a substitution in the 80th minute, introducing Max Dowman to replace Eberechi Eze.

The 16-year-old Dowman was trusted to operate on Arsenal's left attacking flank. This change formed part of the home side's game management strategy as the match entered its closing stages.

Everton continued to push for a goal to reduce the deficit. None of the visiting side's efforts bore fruit however, as the fixture concluded with a 2-0 victory for Arsenal.
