Real Madrid has welcomed the prospect of Nadal joining the organisation, noting that the former world number one is an accomplished individual whose principles align perfectly with the club's core identity. His decades of experience competing at the highest level of global sport are expected to deliver valuable contributions to the continued development of Los Blancos.

"For Real Madrid and every Madridista, it is an enormous honour that a figure with such extraordinary sporting achievements and personal integrity - a true role model for sport in Spain and across the world - will join our board of directors and contribute to the present and future of this club," read an official statement published on Real Madrid's official website.

The club stated that Nadal embodies all values that form the foundation of Real Madrid's philosophy. Beyond his unmatched trophy collection, the retired tennis star is universally recognised for his relentless work ethic, humility, uncompromising competitiveness, and consistent respect for both opponents and teammates.

"He represents far more than just sporting success. His talent, constant drive for improvement, capacity for sacrifice, competitive spirit, humility, respect for those around him, and commitment to solidarity make him an exemplary figure both on and off the court," the statement continued.

Real Madrid emphasised that these values have defined Nadal throughout his entire professional career, cementing his status as one of the most respected sporting figures and an inspiration for millions of people across the globe.
